Day 6 // Childhood Memory

Since we had to buy a billion things when we got our own place, I was thankful that my mom gave me some of her old silverware. Especially since I always liked this set the most!

When I was little and had to set the table, I always made up these "damsel in distress" stories about the silverware. Why? I don't know, but I guess I thought that setting the table was boring and needed to jazz it up. Anyway, the spoon was always the princess. The knife was the bad guy. The fork was the hero. I don't remember any stories that I had made up, but I always think about this when I set the table.

Day 5 // Someone I Love

Good ol' Sean. I am so glad that I have him in my life and wonder where I'd be without him. He has been so supportive, loving, and encouraging. It's so strange to think that I wouldn't be engaged to this amazing guy if a friend hadn't given me his AIM name one day on a whim. He's been in my life for the last seven years and I am so excited for the rest of our lives together.

Day 4 // Favorite Color

Turquoise and teal... All day every day!

Day 3 // Clouds

What a cloudy, gloomy day! It'll be awhile before I see a nice, blue sky. I'll be going to a training class about "Staying Healthy Through the Holidays" that's supposed to touch on the stress and sadness that comes along with the winter month. I'm definitely looking forward to it and am hoping that I'll learn something that will help me over the coming months.

Day 2 // What I Wore

A regular work day. Sweater, jeans, and flats. Since I've been debating about growing my hair out for the wedding, I thought I'd wear my long peacock earrings. People usually do a double-take and ask me if I've grown out my hair/got extensions, so I figured it'd be a good visual trick!

Day 1 // Self Portrait

Lately I've been feeling incredibly self conscious. I go through these phases of complete confidence in myself followed by this uncertain funk... And that's where I am now. I try to see the silver lining and be optimistic for everyone else and it's time that I take that approach with my own life. Here's to active changes for improvement!

I hate intro posts

I always feel like introduction posts on blogs are so lame, so I'll just jump into it! I've been doing a "30 Day Photo Challenge" (via Oh So Lovely) on tumblr, but have already fallen behind. I think I'd like to start over here and try to put a little more effort into it. I love coming across those challenges, and hope that I can actually complete one for once!
